The environment

The environment is an important part of our lives and  impacts the way we live and work. One tree can provide air for a day for up to four people. There are many ways you can appreciate nature, such as going for hikes and other activities, but not many people actually help out the environment. Nature and trees do so much for us, it's time to do something for them!

For instance, you can use both sides of the paper instead of just one side. More than 21 million tons of paper are thrown out each year.

Another good idea is too take shorter shower. Taking just a two minute shorter shower can save up to 10 gallons of water.

Using a reusable bag instead of a plastic one is also a great way to help our planet.

Get a clothes line. It'll save power, and is good for your clothes as well.

While brushing your tweet, turn the water off! It can conserve up to 5gallons a day.

Plant a tree! It provides a habitat to animals, releases oxygen, and can increase the worth of your house by 27%

Turn off  the lights after you leave the room! You've probably heard this one before, but it is important!

Before you throw something out, think about it. Could you recycle it? Maybe you could give the item to a charitable site.

Turn your computers off for the night. It saves 40 watts a day and $14 a year.

Now that you know all that you can do, share this information with others. The most Important thing you can do is to be respectful of nature and it's inhabitants.

1. Elephants can use their feet to listen to vibrations in the ground

2 one elephant molar can weigh up to 4 pounds

3. The only mammal that can't jump is the elephant

3. Elephants can live for over 70 years

4.the average height of an elephant heart is between 27 and 46 pounds

Facts about thanksgiving

1 about 280 million turkeys are consumed annually

2 turkey wasn't even surved in the first thanksgiving

3 each year, the president of the United States pardoned a turkey

4 thanksgiving was originally a fast

5 when it's exited,a turkey's neck turns blue

Thanks giving

Thanks giving is one of my favourite holidays. Spending time with family, stuffing yourself with delicious food, and of course the beautiful scenery. This weekend I did quite a lot of everything on that list, but there is one thing that  I didn't  include which I think is the most important of all.

Thanksgiving is about thanks, so why do we spend the whole time stuffing our faces?  Most of the time we don't take the time to be thankful on thanksgiving, and it's perfectly fine... Until you become self entitled person who doesn't remember where they came from.

This post I would like to talk about all we have to be thankful for... And of course, a post wouldn't be a post without fun facts! In the Syrian and Iraq war, millions of people have fled for their lives. They don't have water, shelter and place to live. But the most important thing of all that they have lost is their freedom. In canada, we have everything we need (well, almost) and we need to remember how lucky we are. You don't need to do it everyday, but giving thanks once in a while will make you a better person. Doing this might might also make your lives happier too. Sometimes a little problem can be blown completely out of proportion. You might find a good old dose of realism can change a lot of things.
